I met Nicky & Ian for their engagement session at Gouveia Vineyard in Wallingford, CT. If you haven’t been here, you’ll love it. Definitely a hidden gem of CT. It’s such a gorgeous place to sit back and relax even if you are not tasting the wine, although I hear it’s amazing. They have picnic tables set up outside for you to bring a picnic & the vineyard sits on top of a huge hill overlooking CT. It has the most awesome view for sunsets. Makes for a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, we chose a day that was a little too cloudy for sunsets, but it was gorgeous day nonetheless with a gorgeous couple.
I love doing engagement sessions, they are a nice break from kids and newborns. Very easy to work with & lots of chatting. It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other before the wedding to see how we both work together & to learn about each other’s personalities and how well we flow. Nicky & Ian are such a laid back, go with the flow type of couple, so the vineyard was definitely the perfect place for their engagement session. They made my job so easy by being completely natural in front of the camera. You can tell that they were made for each other. & Get this, they met on a plane going to Florida, was blind-sided, wasn’t expecting to meet anyone, but fell in love. How romantic is that?
Congratulations once again guys & cannot wait until your wedding in September!
