2-3 weeks after your session you will receive your gallery to choose your final images and finalize any additional images you would like to add on.
Once baby is born you will send us an email or shoot us a phone call letting us know baby is here to schedule the session within the first 21 days. You will then receive a confirmation email with a session prep.
Ideally you should book your session while you are in your 3rd trimester by choosing which package you want, signing contract & paying retainer. We will use your due date as a calendar place holder while we wait for the baby to arrive. We will also go over colors, session requests, prop choices, etc.
Ideally, you should book your newborn session in your 3rd trimester to guarantee availability and leave time to plan for your baby's session. However, if you have not booked & your baby is already here, reach out to see what my availability is. Truth be told, I love babies & I feel bad saying no, so I will do what i can to fit you in, or recommend someone who may be available.
Besides a happy, fed baby and their food, you won't need anything else for the baby. EFP is well stocked with everything a newborn needs & has lots of props, outfits, etc
Newborn photography sessions are scheduled for 4 hours, but don't let that scare you. I rarely use that much time & honestly cannot remember the last time I can near needing the full 4 hours. We schedule that long in the off chance baby is just needing extra time for feeding or needs more soothing than normal. On average, sessions last about 1.5 hours.
Yes, you are most definitely able to upgrade your package after your session if you would prefer to wait until after your session.
After you have reached out to schedule your newborn session date when baby has arrived, I will send out a confirmation email with tips to prepare for your session
Yes, we absolutely can. I absolutely LOVE the older newborn age. We may need to do more wrapping than normal, but honestly this can happy with younger newborns too. Reach out and we can get you scheduled. After about 8 weeks is when I would encourage you to wait until the baby is around 3-4 months to get more variety in the session, but we can certainly still create a perfect session just for your baby.
Yes. Family and siblings are encouraged and included in your session fee. Siblings will come at the start of the session, then will be asked to leave before we will continue with the baby's portion of the session.
2-3 weeks after your session you will receive your gallery to choose your final images and finalize any additional images you would like to add on.
Days leading up to your session, you will receive a prep guide. 2 weeks before the session any final details will need to be discussed. Day of the session we will start with some formal photos, then get into the cake.
You should book your smash cake session date 3-4 weeks before when you want the photos by to allow for processing. You will be sent a contract link to set your date. We will begin the process of planning your session based on your theme.
You should book your smash cake session date at least 3-4 weeks before you will need the photos to allow for editing, and then allow 2-3 weeks prior to the session for planning & ordering of the cake.
Besides a happy, fed baby with an outfit you won't need anything else for the baby. Everything else is supplied by EFP including the cake.
Smash Cake sessions are scheduled for an hour, but they don't last that long at all. Babies loose their interest very quickly & will move fast for the best results.

Yes. If your baby has any food allergies, please make me aware of any allergies. I use a separate baker, Dee's One Smart Cookie, that specializes in allergen free cakes.
A basic cake and decorations are included in the session fee. The cake is purchased and picked up by myself at You've Been Cupcaked! out of Wallingford. A basic frosted cake with "candle" is included in your session fee. You may upgrade the design of the cake based on the fees of the baker. I work one on one with You've Been Cupcaked! to pick colors/designs that go with the set.

A mini session is a shorter, themed photo session designed to be scheduled back-to-back with other clients on select dates. They’re perfect for families who want updated portraits without committing to a full-length session.
Mini sessions are offered on select dates throughout the year and are scheduled back-to-back with other clients. They’re most popular during the fall, holidays, and spring, and spots are limited. Join the mailing list to stay informed on mini session releases.
Mini sessions last 15–20 minutes, which is just enough time for a variety of poses while keeping little ones engaged.
Each mini session includes a set number of edited digital images, a themed backdrop or outdoor location, and guidance on posing. Upgrade options are available if you’d like more images.

Yes! I offer newborn mini sessions once a month, which can be booked directly through my booking link. These sessions are wrapped-only and include 2–3 simple prop poses.
