This newborn session marked a beautiful full-circle moment for a growing family I’ve had the honor of working with over the years, and it perfectly reflects one of my core values: safety always comes first.
From Big Sister Photos to a Newborn Session Years Later
I first met this sweet family when I photographed their oldest daughter’s session. Not long after, we had planned a newborn session for their second daughter — but just one week later, the pandemic changed everything.
Out of an abundance of caution and concern for everyone’s health, we made the decision to postpone. As a newborn and milestone photographer in Connecticut, safety has always been my number one priority. We discussed rescheduling for a later milestone, but even then, mom didn’t feel fully comfortable — and that was completely okay. We agreed we’d reconnect when the timing felt right for her family.
Life got busy, seasons passed, and before we knew it… this mama welcomed her third baby girl.
When mom reached out again after welcoming her newest little one, I was so honored to finally photograph her newborn. After years of waiting, it meant everything to capture this moment — especially knowing how intentional this family has been about safety and comfort.
During the newborn stage, mom found herself home with a brand-new baby and limited options for leaving the house. To support her during that time, she took photos of her newborn at home and sent them over to me. I was more than happy to professionally edit those images so she could still have beautiful, polished memories during such a tender season.
