Cora came to our Meriden Portrait Photography session for the last installment of her First Year Package to celebrate her first birthday with a Smash Cake Photography session. I can’t believe a whole year has passed since I started taking this little lady’s photos. Mom chose a Lady Bug theme for her birthday party so we designed the perfect set to match the theme. It was all fun and games for Cora until the cake came out. She was the first baby who was literally SCARED of the cake. I’m talking shaking scared whenever she saw it, so don’t expect a messy smash cake in the photos below. Instead we took some cute photos and snuck the cake into the back so she couldn’t see it. Overall we had a great time and these photos show that not every smash cake goes as planned, but that’s part of the fun of these, seeing your baby the way they are at one year.
