Oh boy, the story that goes with this session is a long one. As you know this spring & summer has been a very rainy one. It almost seems like we have not had any sun. I scheduled with Family S 6 times and all times it rained and it even rained on our “rain dates”. One of the days, we were both about to walk out the door, there was a 0% chance of rain, and you see some dark angry clouds rolling in. We looked at the radar & sure enough a line of clouds were coming in. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it rain so hard & there was tons of hail that night too. This session seemed like it just never wanted to happen.
The days leading up to the session, weather looked to be unfavorable for our session again. BUT then it cleared up. We were all set to go, but it was a little on the cloudy side, so we agreed to meet a little earlier. As we pull up to the beach we picked, it was closed due to recovery issues. 🙁 Something we couldn’t see coming. So in a panic not knowing any other beaches near me, I contacted my good friend & amazing photographer Ute-Christin of Ute-Christin Photography. She gave me a name of a beach & the address. We confirmed the address on google & added it to our Waze apps. Both me and Family S pulled up the location and drove there. For some reason, the Waze app (on both our phones) were changing the address to a way different address no where near a beach. Of course! We quickly added the address to a different app & found we drove 15 minutes out of the way and needed to go back.
We finally get to the location and it’s absolutely beautiful! I couldn’t have asked for a better night. It’s a good thing we agreed to meet earlier with all the driving, bouncing back and forth, we caught just enough light before it set. Though Georgie and Jack were super hyper and excited to finally be out of the car with room to run, we got some great photos very quickly. For the session that seemed like it didn’t want to happen, we totally rocked it & now one of my favorite beach sessions <3
