Matt & Amanda contacted me just a few months before their wedding. Apparently she had been following my Facebook page for a while before her & Matt had got engaged. She hadn’t even told her friends before booking me, do how I could I say no to this fun New Years Eve Wedding?! Right from the start I knew it was going to be Magical <3
Everything was just perfect this day. We started our day at the Simsbury Inn for getting ready, then headed over to The Riverview for the Ceremony & Reception. The weather had called for some spot flurries, but nothing major in terms of snow. Of course, deep down inside, I really wanted some snow. Not enough to put anyone in danger, just enough to make some magical photos. We got a couple flakes first thing when we showed up at the hotel, but nothing really all day. After the ceremony, we only had a short period of time to capture some formals, so decided we would take what we could, then sneak back out during dinner to grab just a couple more. The videographer & I set up our gear & lighting, then went to grab Matt & Amanda, just as we stepped outside the most magical thing happened. BIG, HUGE FLUFFY snowflakes began to fall. We snapped away for 15-20 minutes in the freezing cold, then walked back inside & the snow stopped. It was like it was meant for them. I am still so giddy over the images we captured & a big round of applause to Matt & Amanda for braving the cold, cold temperatures for these photos. Hands down the best New Years Eve EVER! Thank you guys for including me in your special day <3
