Elizabeth Park is one of my favorite places for senior photos in West Hartford, and this session was full of personality. Between the flowers, three outfit changes, and her vibrant pink hair, we had so much to work with. Her hair looked especially amazing against the blooms and brought a little extra color to every photo.

She attends Lakeville School and studies plant science through the vo-ag program, which made a garden setting feel especially fitting. She also brought her school jacket, and I’m so glad she did. Senior photos are a chance to remember more than what you looked like during this year. They can also show what you’ve spent your time doing and what matters to you right now.

We photographed three different outfits during her session. Her long dress gave us a more dressed-up look among the flowers. The short white dress felt fresh and bright, especially with her pink hair. Then she changed into jeans and a top for photos that felt a little more casual. I love having that variety in a senior gallery: portraits that feel special enough to frame, alongside images that feel like you on an ordinary day.

That’s one reason I encourage seniors to bring outfits they genuinely love. You don’t have to choose just one version of yourself for your photos. A dress, a favorite pair of jeans, your school jacket, or something connected to what you’re passionate about can all have a place in the same session.

Elizabeth Park gave us beautiful flowers and room to create different looks without changing locations. More than anything, though, I love how much she comes through in these images. Her style, her interests, and that incredible pink hair made this session her own.
