A few weeks back, I had a chance to finally sneak out of my house and take some pictures of my not-so-little-anymore girl. She is growing up into a beautiful young lady right in front of my eyes. I can’t believe her 9th birthday is in just 10 days! Oh my! Well, I saw the sun was out & I had not been home for more than 10 minutes from a consult I had just driven to New York for before I rushed her from the kid’s home down the street to go out for pictures. I knew that if I didn’t do it then, the possibility of taking pictures in this location would probably not happen. At first she moaned and groaned a little until she saw the outfit I had in mind, then she was game. Grandma had braided her hair, so we pulled those out and left it nice and crimpy, just the way she likes it. We knew we wanted to use the chair I had at my studio, so we rushed over to grab it, but on the way to the location I had planned we saw an abandoned building on the side of the road and jumped out of the car. Paige had such a great time taking the lead of what she wanted to do with her session. We had such a blast, and reminded me that I really need to make time to do this more often.
